I think my expectations were not fair for the type of place this is vs what they want to be. There is a dress code before... entering ???? but the menu is basic sports bar food with a cocktail menu that reminds you beer is truly the only option. Theinterior aesthetic is nice and lifts your expectations that the menu will have variety and something special. The food is basicsports bar with clientele, and staff to match. This place is AMAZING! Good and service is wonderful especially if you sit at the outside bar on the weekends! Melissa is... usually behind the bar and she is fantastic! We went about two years ago and it was love at first pour! We only go when she isworking, we just love her! Food is also amazing, especially the brunch and football menus on the weekend. We love Montreux and Donna at the bar. We eat here at least once a week. The daily Specials are great. Yesterday I had the... blackened fish sandwich. It was the best fish sandwich I ever had. As a traveling sales exec from Massachusetts and it can be hit or miss in these parts sometimes. I have to say this was the most... inviting environment I've experienced yet in SC! Not bad but not great for the price. Felt like more of Bar than a Grill. Very nice, helpful, and expedient staff and service.... Was brought an appetizer (nachos) for my girlfriend and I... but no plates... so we were setting our utensils on a napkin thatwe were also trying to eat over. Sirloin didn't have a lot of flavor. Girlfriends was only cooked to medium after being veryspecific that hers needed to be well done. They burned the outside so it was obvious they grilled it on too high of a directheat source. Brussel sprouts were cooked with an excellent sauce but weren't cooked all the way. Mac and Cheese had excellentflavor but didn't hold together well. Nothing going on here that a little training and more attention to detail couldn't fix.For the price... not super impressed but I see a lot of potential. I may not have been as disappointed had we not driven an hourto try this place. Read more
