Came here for the first time the other night. Typically we go to the Lamppost but wanted to try something new. The ambience... was nice and our server, Spirit, who greeted us when we walked in was friendly. Love the fireplace in the dining room! We weregiven bread and butter to start. Bread was warm the butter was an olive butter which was interesting. I would suggest that whenbread is dropped that its explained that it's olive butter and perhaps offer regular butter as well. I personally enjoyed theolive butter but know some that wouldn't. I ordered the special Jersey Day Boat Scallops with Risotto and pomegranate drizzle.Scallops were cooked perfectly, risotto was good just was not as creamy as I've had but great flavor with the pomegranate. My bfjust ordered the burger and he was happy with it just slightly over from medium that he ordered. Overall, we really enjoyed itand will come back to try something different! Read more
On October 8th, my siblings and I had our parents' Funeral Repast at The Green Olive. The food and service was beyond our... expectations. This is a pretty unique bar and restaurant and I haven't seen anything like it. It's like 3 cool spots in 1. First there's a... nice restaurant that serves great food with some Greek options. Next to the dining room has a more sports bar type feel. Ididn't go downstairs but from what I saw in pictures and heard it has a more dive bar feel with a couple of pool tables whichare free for the time being. The bar is well stocked with 8 beers on tap. Bud, Coors, Stella, Guinness, Yuengling, Sam Adams,Kona, 60 minute IPA when I was there. Very friendly atmosphere and servers. Very attentive and fast service. Food was deliciousand a good sized portion. Price was decent. Lots of parking. Kitchen closes at 10 but bars are open until midnight. I think someguys can be ordered late night. Read more
