Didn't have a chance to dine in, but seemed like a nice atmosphere for casual dining when we went for takeout. Food was decent... casual American fare. Not the best, but decent enough and we enjoyed our meal. I would consider going again. Read more

We went on a Friday night after a long week? we needed a break and got it! There was music, a great group of people who were... fun, friendly, and personable. The bartender was great! The food? We had cream of chicken soup with wild rice. It wasdelicious. The bartender recommended the Swedesboro burger and the street steak. Both meals were outstanding. We had some goodbeer with dinner. For desert, We shared a rusty nail and bourbon Carmel bread pudding- the desert menu maybe the best part ofthe menu Read more

First time visiting this establishment. Saturday evening. 815 pm. The restaurant is quaint with a fun atmosphere, good music,... with signs and fixtures adorning the restaurant including the Fart Zone sign above the restaurant which is admittedly hilarious.+1 star for this. Unfortunately this is where the wheels fall off. Between a series of our drinks and food being delivered tothe adjacent table multiple times, the lack of plates, and myself getting the wrong order (got chicken wings instead of porkwings but took it in stride), I don?t expect to come back to this place sadly. One and done for myself. Also our plates weretaken by the busser when they was arguably at least another handful of fries left. When the food did come, I?d give the food asolid 7/10. Not to die for but not terrible either. I would chalk this up as Applebees Esque food but the next tier up. Wayabove par food but not somewhere you?d take your significant other out for a special occasion. Please note though like thepicture shows - you are hit with a 3% service charge here if paying by card in lieu of cash due to ?Covid? in the fall of 2022.Not a big deal however this would have been nice to know up front about this charge. Though - I?d argue this charge should bebeared upon by the restaurant and not the patron. This is more of a ?cost of doing business? the restaurant should beresponsible but they pass the buck onto the patron. That?s unfortunate. I came in being bright eyed and bushy tailed lookingforward to have a great time, however; I left with no intent of coming back. Read more

I just want to start by saying we had a great time! Our food came out quick, we were able to pick the seats we wanted. The staff... was pleasant, parking wasn't an issue, and dinner was definitely affordable. We also got to have a nice long conversation withElizabeth who is in charge of the culinary operations at Red Hen and is also from South Africa(she's a huge animal loversomething my fiance and her have in common). My fiance had the pork wings garlic flavored and she loved them we both had Frenchonion soup It was really good and steaming hot and I had the wings appetizer in the Chipotle barbecue which were good becausethey weren't too hot and they weren't too sweet. For dinner we had the short rib pizza and it was a treat. Had the bread puddingfor dessert and that was awesome as well!
