Coffee was great and fast but waited 25+ minutes for a ?to-go? sadly toasted bagel with no knife to spread. :(

I own a local rental and had some guests coming in from England contact me as to where to eat. I recommeded City Lights and they... ended up going there for breakfast. It was so bad they contacted me about it! No compensation was made for their experience. Outof 6 places they dined, this was the only one they were dissatisfied with in Sylva! Its so unfortunate to take this restuarantoff my recommendation list, but after this, I have no choice. Read more

Generally love city lights but very disappointed with the specials today- chili appears to be burnt and the panini is more of a... toasted white bread experience. I usually have much better quality than this when I come so I?m hopeful this is helpfulfeedback. Eating it all because I only stopped in for lunch and don?t have time to go and order elsewhere. I got a gift card to this place and I have passed it every time I?ve come to the bookstore, so I was pretty excited to try the... food. I took my boyfriend out to brunch and we got some drinks and some crepes. He got the limeade with raspberry syrup, and itwas pretty sour and unsweet, but he liked it a lot. I got the sweet tea, which came in a cup that I could refill. He got thechicken crepedilla and I got the banana nutella crepe. We shared half of the crepes with each other. The chicken crepedilla wasreally tasty, came with guacamole and salsa, and was very savory. The banana nutella crepe was sweet and somewhat light, and thewhipped cream was a nice touch. We waited about 40 minutes for our food, which we were made aware that the food may be a longwait. But I think the business practices of this location are ones that I agree with, and I appreciate every person who workshere because it gets pretty busy with a small staff to handle it all. All in all, I?d like to come back. It?s a littleexpensive, but the employees make a decent wage from what I can tell, and the quality of the food is very high. Read more

Very good breakfast; three in our party. Two had quiche of the day and enjoyed it. I had the stuffed crepe Benedict (with... hollandaise sauce). It was perfectly presented and delicious. Very friendly staff, laid back atmosphere and reasonably priced. Also enjoyed the bookstore. Read more
