I've always wanted to try Sylva's only Speak Easy themed establishment. If you are looking for a smaller venue, Dark Moon,... located at the back of White Moon Coffee shop, may be for you Don is very friendly and the service was fast. The only drinking spot that was open after 10 pm .. we happened upon this place while in town by accident and we are so so... happy we did. The service was amazing. When we first got here my friends and I were sitting outside. We were greeted at the front door by the nicest gentleman and who... was also our server. He showed us the back room that they open up to when they serve alcoholic beverages. It was amazing! Ittook me back to the 20?s if I were to attend a Speak Easy or some private club. While we were all enjoying our time in the backcomplementing the rooms paintings and clean decor, our server would check up on us. He would come in ask us if we neededanything while lighting the candles around the room as well. He definitely felt our vibe and brought more candles that we allloved. I highly recommend coming here as you well feel welcomed and relaxed. I can say that this is a HOT SPOT in Sylva as wellas their Coffee Shop in the morning. While there are not many Cocktail Bars in Sylva, you can easily make a run on both in a night. However, it was Dark Moon that I... found a place to genuinely relax. The party scene is far behind me, and now I look for a place to relax, enjoy a great drinkand the casual conversation around me. Don, who was tending the bar that night, is a highly knowledgeable person who not onlyknows the basic drinks but also knows how to modify those standards to whole new heights. Aging Negroni in cask was truly adelight to my palette. Not to mention showing me that many of my drink prejudices were due to poor craftsmanship. Clearly notafraid to experiment, even coming up with a savory Pepperoncini cocktail on the spot!
