First thought was "wow this to-go box is heavy!" HUGE portions. I got ribs, Mac and cheese, and collard greens. Ribs were cooked... very well, and there was so much meat. Mac and cheese and collard greens were solid and exactly what I expected from a soul foodplace. Cornbread was the bomb. Absolutely humongous piece of cornbread, moist and dense and held together so well. I ate thewhole thing even though I didn't need to because it was so good. I thought it was a little pricey at first, but with thoseportions on everything, I ain't complaining for a second. I'm a big dude who loves food and couldn't finish it all. Read more
Healthy portions and best black eyed peas I've ever had
I had tried to send a UberEats gift card but ended up sending to myself. So I decided to treat us to dinner. Ordered 10... wings,rice with gray, black eyed peas, string beans,yams,collards and corn bread. Peach cobbler for dessert. All I can say isthis will not be the last time I'll be getting food from this place. Phenomenal doesn't even come close to everything we got.There was plenty of food for 2 even with ordering small sides. Hope this place stays around for a long time! Read more
I was in Solvay so I stopped in. I ordered the chicken dinner with Mac & cheese and also collard greens. The chicken was a... little hard for my liking but ok. Just make sure you are changing the grease. The Mac was bland and the collard was good. I willgive them another try in the future but if it don?t get better I will not go back. I understand that prices went up but don?t gocheap on your good ingredients or seasoning. Read more
