We came during a busy Saturday for lunch after visiting the park. 30 minute wait for table seating BUT they were able to... accommodate us immediately at the bar (even though neither of us drink alcohol), which was much quieter and away from thefamilies. The food and staff (particularly the woman behind the bar, who could run laps around a cheetah) are absolutelydelightful, and made for a cute, relaxing date day. Excellent vibes in the restaurant overall. Food is super tasty - highlyrecommend the soup, crabcake sandwich, and sweet potato fries. They have various flavors of tasty lemonade. My favorite part isthat we got to take a couple of recipes home. I cook a lot, so these have been added to the rotation of weekly recipes. <3 Manythanks. Read more
Excellent seafood, staff and service! I've been a regular at Dukes for about 7 years now. It's a great local spot with... friendly service and excellent food. Super high standards that match my own, it's a regular stop for me when family and friendscome in from out of town as well as a place to chill on my own. Fresh and tasty said my palette! Our salads were fresh, with good veggies and mine with scallops and shrimp (in addition with my... favorite, avocado). Those fried Cod tacos though were a hit! Classic restaurant on the waterfront in Tacoma. Great service on a very busy day with every table occupied. First class food... including free chowder for veterans. I had the Parmesan halibut which was cooked to perfection. Served with lovely “little redfingerling potatoes” garnished with capers. This is not an inexpensive place to dine but, it is well worth it.
