Menu for Chateau Meichtry Family Vineyard and Winery in Talking Rock, GA

A Swiss/French style chateau that makes their own wine on the property, as well brings in grapes from other wineries to produce... some very exquisite wines. The tastings have a flight of different wines while straight tastings serve up wine tastings with afree wine glass to take home. Lots of activities take place such as music concerts and tours of the winery. Our guide was Wes,and his friendly demeanor was made our trip a wonderful experience. We were staying in an Airbnb near Talking Rock and decided to stop here. I would say pleasantly surprised. I didn't expect it... to be this nice of a venue. The wine was great, the ambiance was neat and even had a live band. The facility is very high endand has a very decadent feel. I bet it is even nicer in the evening. After a certain point it got busier in the day but thelines were not that long since people spread out. They offer wine tastings, full glasses and bottles as well as a niceselection of checuterie items. I would suggest this for a date night. Absolutely gorgeous, one of the best I?ve gone to here in Blue Ridge. The tasting room is spacious, there?s multiple indoor... rooms, a covered porch, and outdoor seating. There?s a ton of options for wine. You have to get the veruca salt flight, it?s achocolate cup with your selection of wine. As you walk around there are the cutest chickens you can feed and the friendly houndlounging around. You can?t go into the house, but it adds ambience to the whole experience. Read more

Love this vineyard for the wine and beautiful views. We usually sit off to the right of the main area in the trees because it is... less crowded and we have small children. However, the music at this vineyard is too much. Very loud country music, which is notour thing at all. We?d either like some quieter, more ambient music or just the sounds of nature. Read more

Great afternoon. Absolutely beautiful vineyard. Beautiful indoor and.outdoor seating. We sat outside until the sun got a bit... hot, then moved to the open air indoor area. We had a white and red wine tasting (the 6th selection came in an edible chocolatecup), followed by a bottle of the Lineage, and a bottle of Syrah. Enjoyed the wine and the food from Sage Food truck.
