Nothing crispy about this chicken. Thank goodness it was free. They parked me. Gal saunters out with my sandwich. I ask where is... my drink. She proceeds to look in my car like I am trying to rip them off. She saunters back in. Eventually makes it out withthe drink overflowing. Sandwich was a wet mess. Not worth it, even as free. Lobby was closed and they wouldn't take our order at the window because we wanted two separate orders. Went to Zaxbys 1 mile... down the road instead and they were very accommodating, polite, and the food was good. Glad I gave them money instead of thisplace. Read more
I was in the area because I had evacuated for the hurricane. We decided to stay in Tallahassee. I was staying at the Best... western next to the Burger King and decided to go over and get something to eat. It was about 8pm. I ordered a chicken sandwichand some fries. As I was standing there, I was watching the young man putting my order together. He put his gloves on andstarted putting the chicken and the buns to cook. After being on the register briefly and touching other things, he should havewashed his hands before putting gloves on. This was strike one. Then after putting the buns in the warmer, he took his cellphone out touched it, touched himself etc... and with the same now dirty gloves he touched all the buns again. This is a severelack of training and care for food sanitation and safety. I immediately told the shift manager what I saw and that I wanted arefund. She quickly without question issued me a refund and gave me an apology. Even though she handled the situation well, Ihad already lost my taste for eating burger king and had to drive around looking for another place to eat after driving a verylong way and feeling exhausted. We pulled up at 9:40, when the restaurant is open until 12am. When we pulled up in a handicap van that cannot fit in the drive... thru, an employee raced to the door and locked it so that we couldn't go inside. My mom went and checked the door first, and itwas unlocked. When we started unloading my uncle (who has cerebral palsy and struggles to walk) they quickly came and locked thedoor.
