Every time I go to a cracker barrel I think I am in for a pleasant experience, but every time I am disappointed. This one may... have finally done me in and stopped me from wanting to try again. It was a Saturday morning so we were expecting it to be busy.We were pleasantly surprised to find that we didn't have to wait for a table when we got there. The hostess was friendly, butsat is in a section where she had just sat a pretty large table for the same sever. When the server made it to the table he waschatty, but honestly not helping himself because he was telling us how he was having and "off day" and how he had forgottenseveral things already. We ordered our food after we got our drinks. Before our food arrived he brought us a basket of biscuitsand a bowl of gravy (?). A few minutes later we realized that those were actually part of our breakfast, but brought ahead oftime so they were cold when the rest of the food arrived. The eggs were undercooked. Over medium doesn't mean runny whites. Myson enjoyed his pancakes and bacon, but they should really take the grits off the menu if that is how they serve them every day. They were runny and tasted awful. The casserole was great, of course. I am not one to complain about eating out and serve and food issues. I use to work in the food industry, i know what happens.... With that being said, my experiance with tbis particular resturant has made me actually complain. Ordered countryfried steak(notchicken), it came out cold and way old or over cooked. Had a bad taste. Not understanding why becuase it was actually busy sothe food should have never left the kitchen old. Took another 10 to 15 min for the server to come to the table and heard thecomplaint and asked if i wanted something else. Well that is not all that went wrong. Ordered side of hash brown tots did notcome until we complained and with raw bacon on top of it. Never got the gravy had to ask for it for me to at least havesomething to eat. She came back another 15 min later and asked if we wanted more coffee we denied and waiting on check so we canleave. It took another 20 min to get out check. Read more

"Clean" bowls for us to use. COVID still an issue. But, at least they brought biscuits to the table. Unfortunately, I spoke... too soon. Our entrees came out and it was horrible. My son's grilled cheese was only warm enough to melt the butter on thebread, but not the cheese. My daughter's chicken tenders looked like chicken breast sliced into thin strips and then batteredin some kind of weird batter. The side of fries looked like it also came with something we couldn't figure out--we know it wassomething fried. My wife's meal came with the completely wrong side. I was so upset, I immediately paid my ticket and left, leaving all the food on the table. Sad to say, I will never visit a Cracker Barrel again. ???? Read more

Clean store and excellent customer service. Food came out quick and hot. Chicken and dumplings were good, but a few dumplings... were too thick and not cooked through. Fried apples were delicious. New squash casserole tasted burnt, and we sent it back.Green beans were great. Chef salad was amazing- fresh! Ranch dressing tasted homemade. Biscuits and cornbread were fresh baked. Read more
