Very very good. Appetizers were tasty (deviled eggs were typical but the escargot was delicious) and Entrees were good (pork... chop was preferred by our party). I wish they had a bit more of a selection. Service was excellent. Decor is adequate but couldbe better. Read more
The escargot and onion soup were good but nothing amazing. Felt like there was too much oil/butter in the rainbow trout dish.... The fish itself was nice together with the nuts. The quiche was tasty and had a decent portion. The steak was too chewy butcompensated with nice flavors. We found a hair in the rainbow trout and our server immediately apologized and discounted us.Very nice service and lovely patio space as well. Read more
Food was ok some of it was salty. Way over priced for the amount of food and drinks were not that great. Place was boring and... plain inside. Bar was nice. Our waitress was informative. I dont mind spending good money on a plate of food if the ambiance,service, and food is worth it all. Not really impressed by this place. Read more
Sage has been around a long time in Tallahassee. Admittedly, we did not have dinner; just stopped in for an adult beverage. It... was actually my wife's choice to stop. I don't think I have ever sat at the bar at Sage. Bartender was super cool, I got todrink a Buffalo Trace bourbon and my wife had a nice red wine. We struck up a conversation with the couple next to us, becausethat is what good ambience encourages. So glad we stopped in and also glad that Sage remains open. When elite Southern style service & culinary excellence are combined the result is an awesome restaurant. Sage checks all of the... boxes. With a great wine selection, delicately prepared appetizers, and good prime beef we had an awesome dining experience. Wehad the filet, fried oysters, escargot, stone crabs, and home made deserts.
