Quaint and unassuming, host and chef was very friendly and served quickly. Slightly more expensive then I'd have wanted, but... tough to find anything cheaper with as much quality in LA. The chicken shawarma was juicy, tender, and light, flavored withfragrant but not over-powering garlic forward seasonings, which made it difficult to put down before it was all gone! Thefalafel is made the brown-style, fresh and creamy with each bite. The cumin shows itself front and center - to be enjoyed as itis or balanced out with the tahini served in its accompaniment. Was treated to a sample of the hummus without accoutrement, andI was delighted by its smooth and fluffy texture, lightly coating the mouth with a very present tahini (sesame) flavor - thebest in LA, perhaps only second to what I make at home in Israel ????
