Good deeds deserve good words. I picked up a very cold to-go order for an online customer that had been sitting for over an hour... due to a pickup misunderstanding. Manager remade the order in the middle of a Sunday lunch rush so that the customer would havethe perfect Portillo?s dining experience. I wanted to like this place. The atmosphere was fun. Very 1950's dinner feel. But I was not a fan of the food. The hot dogs were... ok. The pickled relish on them was that gross, fake stuff that was dyed bright, slime green. Not appetizing. And thecake-shakes we're gross. Tasted like cheep cake blended with milk and some ice cream. I will say though that their fries were ahome run!! Loved the fries, but that's about it. The bite I took of my husband's burger was delicious as well. VeryAmerican.
