We?ve dined at Jack?s several times. Tonight we sat at the bar and I tried the peanut butter old fashion (no actual peanut... butter, just a combination of alcohols and bitters that gives a great finish to an already awesome old fashion) - yes, I had asecond!. We enjoyed chatting with the bartender while eating our meal. The food and service is always outstanding at Jack?s. It is a goto restaurant when you want a great meal. Read more
Typically I would have let this situation go but it was really frustrating. My husband and I meet friends (another couple) for... dinner. Upon walking in we noticed it wasn?t too busy and asked to be seated at an outside table that had five chairs, thehostess said that per her manager that was strictly for a group of five people only. We understood and took another table withonly 4 chairs outside in a hot corner. We ordered drinks and told the waitress that we really preferred the bigger table underthe fan. Again she stated per manager that it was strictly for a group of five. We said we understand and took a minute more tolooked over the menu. About 5 min after that we notice a group of four people being seated at the table that was specificallyfor five people. We mentioned to the waitress she said she would mention it to the manager. But when she returned the managerdidn?t do anything about it. And the 4 people ordered their meals and settled in. Of course we are upset and should have left atthat point. Since we ordered we stayed, the waitress was nice, and the food was good, but we felt very unwelcome. We don?tknow if this was a racist move, but it bothered us. Read more
The food is so so, but I wouldn?t complain about the food. There were a lot of flies flying around us while we were having... lunch, super annoyed and I couldn?t even finish 30% of my lunch because of those flies. Wouldn?t come back! Read more
Although I come to Templeton at least once a month this is my first time to visit this restaurant. Now I kick my self in the... butt for not coming here sooner. First thing through the door we were greeted by a ultra friendly waitress who expeditiously gota table for us and had us seated. Short time later another friendly waitress came and took our drink order. I couldn?t resisttrying in the dirty margarita. It has everything in it including pickle juice olives in an assorted array of condiments. It wasawesome. My food order came in a timely manner. The fish and chips and french fries pile a mile high. Barbecue chicken was supertender and Bathed tasty barbecue sauce. The green beans are cooked to perfection in butter and garlic in the mashed potatoeswere to die for. Very disappointing. I ordered the "sushi grade tuna" poke bowl.. tossed it in the trash before even trying it. See photo for... reference. The tuna was discolored and slimy. Sadly, there is a chef back there that thought this was okay to send out. Asidefrom that I also ordered the potato wedges, also equally disappointing. It was more along the lines of reheated frozen potatowedges completely drowned in a gelatinous goo that is a combination of sour cream and some type of cheddar sauce, not very good.The fries, burger and sandwich that we ordered were edible, but definitely were not good enough to ever go back or recommend toanyone. Overall I would say that there is a lack of care and experience in their kitchen, try eating across the street instead. Read more
