Wedding cake came as a part of our venue cost otherwise we would not have went with them 1) forgot about our cake tasting that... I scheduled 1 month in advanced and they had to make one up last minute and did not get to meet with the managers asdiscussed 2) Mentioned that we'd get the pricing in the next few days because there were upcharges involved and the managerwasn't there All we wanted was an estimate, just a number, so we can account for it as we are wedding planning. 3) It's nowbeen 3 weeks since and they have continued to mention that we will receive it in the "next few days" or "end of this week" butcontinue to push it back (would have been 100% fine and not a problem if they just mentioned it from the start that it wouldtake a long time just to get an estimate for some extra coloring because our wedding is too far away (still less than 1 yearaway)) 4) gave an obscure excuse stating that there was a difference between 3 or 4 tier cakes for our venue thats why it wastaking so long (we already discussed it with our venue because they are taking weeks, there is no difference.) 5) called todayand now they're saying its taking so long because today is halloween so its super busy (also not our problem you waited to giveus an estimate and its suddenly halloween and busy) Unless your wedding is happening in maybe the next 1-3 months wouldn'ttrust them with being organized with anything thats even less than a year away because it might be "too far in advanced" forthem. They have done nothing to instill any trust that they're organized enough to deliver our cake on time or even remember thedate it's scheduled for. All in all they cause more stress than it's worth. I have had two custom cakes made at La Promenade, one for my wedding and one for my birthday. Both cakes were delicious! We... asked for something simple for our wedding and they delivered perfectly, speaking to them about it via email was enough. For mybirthday I went in to speak with them a couple of weeks before the event but they were too busy at the moment and asked if theycould call me. Over the phone I described what I wanted, referred to pictures on their gallery for reference, and they said nota problem. They also came up with the great idea of having one cake for display and another for extra servings to satisfy theamount of cake for ~35 people without having one big cake that they said would look like a wheel. When we went to pick up thecake it was not at all what we had discussed and we brought it back and asked them to fix it. They were not happy and hung upthe phone on me but the person I was speaking to cooled down and called me back a few minutes later. There was amiscommunication on the colors I wanted (I wanted the same colors as the cake on the gallery but she thought I wanted only someof the colors on that cake, not all of them) and they do not do a good job with ombré. They changed it to a point where I washappy it no longer looked like a 5 year old princess cake but it was not exactly what I wanted (as you can see in the picturethe cake is striped, not ombré) and was a headache. My advice would be to go in person and make sure you overly explain youridea if there is no exact picture to reference. Read more

Wednesday before Thanksgiving and everyone was so amazing and pulled together the most beautiful and delicious Death byChocolate cake that they customize for me.
