We decided to check Tiramisu Ristorante out and made a reservation. It happened to be a regular, slow day. Frankly, my... opinion could be biased as I had worked as a Maitre D' for many years in very exclusive restaurants. The place is clean and thehostess was really doing her best at the door. However, dining there feels like traveling in time at least 20 years back. Themenus are oversized. I felt sorry for the hostess who had to carry menus to a table with a large party. Compared to abulky menu, the wine list was just a yellow sheet of paper with a very limited selection. They have an interesting system toserve patrons: while waiters are simply floating around, most of the work is done by the food runners. We ordered anappetizer, cozze al pomodore. It was pretty good, although a bit heavy for the "touch of marinara". Prosciutto and melons werevery fresh and of excellent quality. In general the food is good. What I dislike is service. I got more help from thehostess than from the "waiter". With that being said, the server brought the food and left without checking if need a spoonfor my pasta. For main course I ordered linguine with clams. Nor he came up with a grinder to add some cheese to it. So Iserved myself with both a spoon from another table and a cheese grinder I found by the exit door. To my surprise, nobody haseven asked me why I was walking freely around on the floor. We also ordered Atlantic sole from Dover, which was delicious.Sole is a very delicate fish and was cooked properly. The parking lot attendant was very efficient . Really easy to get in andout. Overall, not a horrible experience , but incompetent service ruined what otherwise would have been a very pleasantevening. All I know we are not going back. Read more
