The BBQ was on point! And if you're not one for BBQ, stop and eat the beans! BEST beans I've had in Texas. Even the kids ate it... up! My kids approving BBQ, says so much! Lol It's good food, good vibes, good music. A must stop if you're passing through. Read more
Came down from Houston to camp out near Big Bend. After our 3rd day of camping we decided to come into town to have a proper... meal. Definitely what we needed. Their prices are fair, they also give you a good portion your hungry self will be satisfied. Iordered the 3 meat platter with brisket, sausage and ribs and could not finish it. But took it to go. Their beans and potatosalad are great. Best part is they have AC! We came out during peak of summer (would not recommend lol). I have saved it in myspots so I can tell everyone about this place. First off the BBQ is the best in Texas. I?ve been coming to Big Bend from Dallas since 2019 and saw this place come up for a BBQ... truck on the side of the road to the awesome place DB has now. It?s a great location eating in the mountains, indoor and outdoorseating options. I got the 3 meat plate with sausage, ribs and 1/2&1/2 brisket. Only $36 for that and 2 sides. Very reasonableprice. The sausage is absolutely killer, whatever?s inside that casing is something of magic. The ribs are without a doubt themeatiest ribs you will find at a restaurant and you will eat them all the way to the bone. The. Lets get to the brisket, thefatty brisket was amazing as always but what really struck me was the lean brisket. This was THE juiciest most tender cut oflean I have ever had. We ate the sampler dish that included pulled pork, brisket, ribs, sausage. Also got sides of coleslaw, smoked beans and potato... salad. All meats were great! Staff was nice and live music was a great touch. The best non-eating part of the experience waswhen the proprietor brought out the most beautiful smoked brisket fresh from the smoker!
