A friend and I were out on a motorcycle ride and decided to stop her for a bite. We were quickly seated, given water, and menus,... then the server disappeared. 10 minutes later, I went looking for them. We finally placed our orders, and 5 minutes later ourfood arrived. I ordered one of the most expensive dishes on the menu (Bed of Flowers), and almost sent it back because the foodwas not proportionate to the cost. "Bed of Flowers" was a half-dozen prawns, carrots, mushrooms, and canned corn in a garlicsauce over 5 asparagus spears! $17? Hell no! My friend had the mild yellow curry with chicken and it was ok. All the food is amazing, the prices are fair, and the service is terrible. We have been going to Montira's quite often over the... last 6-7 years, and the formula for food/prices/service has not changed. We have learned that we need to set aside plenty oftime for dining in (we have had to walk out a few times after waiting 20+ minutes without acknowledgement) and to check our takeout orders before leaving as we have ended up with other people's orders or just the wrong or missing food. This place would bean easy 5 if the service was that of anything resembling a restaurant. Read more

Sweet and fun place with a great separate room for dinners and meetings. I may have burned part of my face off by asking for... very spicy...but, dang. It hurt so good. Attentive, joyful staff. Great prices. Heaping helpings. Read more

We stop here every chance we get as we drive back and forth through the gorge. We are never disappointed. My wife loves the... pumpkin curry. I think this might be the best Thai restaurant in Oregon. Read more
