This is a great cafe in Thermopolis. We have been coming here for some the time and it is consistently good. Black Bear has... wonderful pancakes, biscuits and gravy, and other all day breakfast items. Much offered is made from scratch like their famouspies. We asked to sit outside it was such a nice day and the service outside was prompt and very friendly. My husband and I both loved... our meal. On top of all that, there was a rodeo parade going on down the main street which is only a half block from therestaurant. We got to enjoy great food, great service and a parade! If you find yourself in Thermopolis and are hungry, Iwould definitely recommend the Black Bear. Read more

This place is average. Food is just OK, but nothing to write home about. It is a good meal. But I would enjoy a home cooked meal... better. And I like to eat out. Service also was average. When I have to make an effort to flag down wait staff to get a drinkrefill, not just once, but twice I tend to discount the restaurant. Read more

I can get gluten-free food here which is crucial. I like the made-from-scratch home fries which are made from red potatoes. This... is a popular place with the locals, and the cafe definitely has a black bear theme and some other amusing, animated decor. It'sa good place to go for a casual breakfast and lunch. They offer local newspapers for customers to peruse. They also offer theirhomemade desserts, but due to my own dietary restraints I won't be able to review those. This place had a kitchen and diningarea remodel about a year ago. Just before Mother's Day 2018, I was visited by my nephew and his family. We had breakfast here,and my 17 month old great nephew was presented with crayons and a page to color. He loved it! Their homemade cinnamon rollsare huge, and are the size of a dinner plate. Read more
