Yes I picked this hotel to just say I was in Valhalla, but damn was it worth it! I was in Thunder Bay at the tail end of a... business trip which was, up to that point, not very pleasant. But Valhalla made it all better. Great rooms with comfy beds, goodservice, and an outside courtyard (it was winter, but I could still see it). I even ate at the restaurant and it was perfect.Definitely would stay here again. Read more

We have stayed at the Valhalla fir years. It's always clean. They always treat us like family. Most recently my husband and I... returning from open heart surgery in Toronto. I had left my car at the Valhalla so I sat him in that while I sent to check in.The front desk girl ran and unlocked our outside door so I could Drive drive right to the door Excellent customer service Read more

Not impressed. The pool wasn?t open but was supposed to be. I stayed for 3 nights and they never came to clean my room or give... me fresh towels even though I asked the front desk twice to take care of it. They finally told me they only clean every 3-5days. I emailed the manager and did not get any response. I probably won?t stay there again. Thunder Bay has better hotels withbetter service. Read more

Filthy. Multiple pee stains under toilet seat. Likely from different guests as the pee colours varied. Hasn?t been cleaned.... ?Fresh? towel had a clump of hair. Hairs and dirt on floor. Handle in shower broken and falls to bottom of tub. Common areasdirty. Stair well is filthy and hasn?t been cleaned. You feel grit and hear a crunchy noise as you walk over dirt and the leftover remnants of winter salt and sand (we visited in August). Front entrance is also dirty. Pool and gym closed due to?repairs.? Nothing special about the front desk service, just transactional. No breakfast included in the price. Charged creditcard $150 for deposit. This place sucks and it?s miserable. Best part was leaving. Stay away. It?s a dump and poorly managed. Read more

Hotel itself was nice, very country style and the rooms are completely renovated. If you bring pets with you stuff is very... welcoming but no green areas for them you have to walk on the street around to find green areas. The restaurant is completelythe opposite stuff takes forever to come to your table it took 35min to get our food on the table (after telling them that wecan?t wait any longer) plus another 10min just trying to call them for the bill. We ended up leaving the money on the tableworst experience for breakfast in a hotel. Read more
