Authentic, delicious and fresh. And great value for money! I had the pork and the cheese, respectively.
I was so looking forward to trying their tamale. They're one of my favorite foods! I was very disappointed when I arrived at... 11:30 AM, walked in the door, and was told that they were not open and didn't know what time they would be open. The postedopening time was 10: 00 AM. I was not the only one. Two gentlemen walked in right behind me. They didn't have tamale for luncheither. I left and decided to go across the street to Sanchez's Taqueria (which had a packed parking lot and I would highlyrecommend). I guess they had the same thought because they walked into Sanchez's shortly after I did. Read more

Tamale House has gotten to be one of my favorite Portland area restaraunts. The masa in the tamales is unlike any I have ever... had, it's so delicious (on par with the amazing meat inside). The portions are huge. I just got a 2 tamale plate and it's easily2 meals for me, and I'm a big eater. The staff are always very friendly and nice too. I really couldn't ask for a betterrestaraunt experience. Make sure to get a cheese jalapeno tamale, they're my favorite! Read more
