Someone on Trip Advisor asked where to eat in Newport. Someone answered-- nowhere. Go to Evelyn's. We did that!! We arrived and... were intimidated because there were a ton of cars in the lot and along the road. We decided to go anyway. There was no wait,plenty of seating, and pretty quick service. The fish wrap was large and could feed two! Crabcake sandwich was delicious.There's only one bathroom, but also a Porta potty outside. We really enjoyed the view! Read more
I?m going to start off by saying I always loved this place for seafood but this time I?m disappointed. To pay $62.99 for a... seefood platter and only get one piece of fish and a full dish of French Fries is ridiculous to me. And not to mention the pieceof fish was a 3oz piece of fish and this dish supposed to feed 2 people? 1 star from me just because of what came in it. Went to RI for our Anniversary and stopped here for lunch. My scallops were excellent!! Very sweet and cooked perfect. My... husband had the New England Clam Chowder which tasted like it came out of a can. Just terrible....not even creamy. He also hadstuffed quahogs, 6 of them, and he said it was all stuffing, not clams. Beautiful views of the water. Service was good. Read more

Our favorite place to eat when in RI. The lobster BLT is our go to meal. We add on an order of onion rings...yummy! But the... scallop appetizer is the bomb....ask for the homemade horseradish sauce to use for dip. Tasty Shady Lady & Blueberry lemonadeadult beverages. Scenic views right on the water....
