The server was really friendly, and service was really fast, that's about all I have good to say about the place. Dining room... ambiance felt like a tomb, very dark, depressing almost.. The food was alright, my penne tasted good, but it was a little bitdrowned in sauce, was hard to decide between 2 and 3 stars. Jamie's Restaurant is the kind of place I'd normally call a 'hidden gem' but it's not hidden! It's right there next to the... highway and you'll go past it constantly during your time in Tofino without a second thought but it should be on your list of"Must Eats". Casual and family friendly, the menu is full of classics and also features some unique options, like theirselections of benny's for breakfast. A few years ago we had a sub-par experience in a dark and empty place and this time itwas bright, clean, and half-full at a weekday late morning as the sleepy heads mingled with the early lunch crowd. Entire family (age range 6 - 40) loved it! Food was excellent, well prepared with quality ingredients. Spent the evening before... wandering around Tofino trying to get in anywhere (half hour wait minimum), but here we walked right in and were seated rightaway. Kind of important when you've got a hungry 6 year old. Ambiance was a little dark, but when the food and service hit thebullseye like they did, it mattered not a bit. The patio was closed when we went, not sure why, but had it been open it wouldhave surely added to the experience. Overall a great way to finish off a long day of adventuring! Read more

Food was delicious. Had the mushroom ravioli. Service was a bit slow. Seemed they might have been short on kitchen staff.

Enjoyed our visits to the restaurant. Quality is decent. Prices are more than I like to pay but they are about average for a... tourist destination. I think the potential is there for it to be above average. Service is prompt and friendly. Desserts areexcellent. Had the Peanut Butter dessert. Awesome! Happy Hour specials are an excellent value. Saturday is especially good. Theymake excellent cocktails with great quality ingredients. Very personable staff. Low key and relaxed. Had a great time! Read more
