We tried Plat8 for the first time tonight as part of Restaurant Week. Every time we've wanted to come, is always on a Sunday and... they are closed both Sunday and Monday. Tonight we ordered from the Restaurant Week menu, however, everything except dessert,can be found on their regular menu. We started off with an order of Fried Green Tomatoes which were crisp on the outside andjust the right amount of tart from the tomatoes. For our main entrees, my partner had the braised short rib over polenta, whichhe said was tender and had great flavor. I ordered the sweet potato gnocchi and grilled chicken. Usually, I am not a huge fan ofgrilled chicken dishes, but this one knocked it out of the park! It was smothered in a feta cream sauce and topped with candiednuts. The balance of sweet and savory on my taste buds was perfect and the chicken breast had a nice seared crust on theoutside, yet was juicy on the inside. Dessert was special to the Restaurant Week menu and was impressive with a strong cup ofespresso to pour over the mug of chocolate and caramel drizzled vanilla ice cream. My only complaint is that I could have eatenan entire dessert on my own rather than sharing, lol! The staff was friendly and our server was efficient and super-nice!Everyone was adhering to Covid-19 guidelines. Reservations are suggested, which can be done easily online. Read more
