This is definitely more a three or four star hotel all-in-all but the history, the paranormal, and the delightful staff bring it... up to a can?t-miss hotel stay. We absolutely had paranormal experiences during our stay just an FYI. Unexplainable things movingaround in the room, I sanely low temperature drops in the middle of the night, noises, strange senatorial experiences, etc.. Westayed in two different rooms, but, in my opinion, the Red Lady room was the only one worth staying in. The room is majestic andbeautiful and gives you a great sense of what it must have been like 100+ years ago. I recommend learning the history before(or maybe after) you stay but it?s not for the faint at heart! Great part of a road trip between Reno and Las Vegas. Read more

The Mizpah Hotel is a treasure. We stayed in the infamously haunted Lady in Red room. The room was spotless, perfectly... modernized without destroying the original feel of the room. The bed was comfortable. The view was amazing. The decor wasexcellent. This hotels is excellently maintained. Impressively constructed. I am in love and I never wanted to leave. The staffwere all amazing. Professional, kind, hardworking and knowledgeable. We had the best time. Read more

If you like antiques, history, and the chance of a ghostly encounter, this is the place for you. Didn't meet any ghosts but did... enjoy our stay here. Bar with live music across the street. Quieter bar inside the hotel. Excellent food at the hotelrestaurant. Read more

Definitely worth the visit, but I did not sleep well with the howling wind and presence of spirits. I had one spirit touch my... hair all night and kiss my hand, and kept waking up to night sweats with the AC blasting in room 409. The dinner and breakfastwere both really good. The wait staff at night seemed to not care half as much as the morning staff. The night staff wasn?t busyand took a long time to serve us after being seated and I saw them arguing over who was taking our table because they bothseemed to not want to. The girl with bleach blonde hair and tattoos was the rudest out of the whole bunch, and looked like shehated being there. The morning breakfast staff was super attentive and amazing! The one girl managed multiple tables alone sowell and didn?t miss a beat! She was so quick and in a good mood. We stayed the night on 9/9 and had breakfast on 9/10. Read more

A stunning historic hotel that leans into its rich history. The lobby area and rooms are beautiful and make you feel like your... in a western movie. The room was spotless, the beds were comfortable and the staff were wonderful. Shout-out to Chris and therest of the night crew. He had printouts on the history of the hotel and was more then happy to help. A really great set ofpeople working here. Make sure you visit the mining park right behind the hotel! Read more
