I found this great little lunch spot on my way through Kansas. I met the owner Lon, he was very quick to make sure that everyone... was happy with their meal. My meal was delicious. I had a combo sandwich. And the tater side is fantastic. As well as the beans.I would suggest anyone stopping here for an early lunch. It's so good it goes quick. They currently close at 1:00 p.m.. Best BBQ in Northeastern Kansas and maybe all of Kansas and is open again for inside dining. Lonnie is always in an upbeat mood,... one of the most pleasant people I know. The pulled pork and brisket are great and all of the sides are made in house anddelicious. If I lived in Topeka I would eat here at least once a week. Read more

They have a very simple menu, and delicious food! I had the sandwich specialthat comes with your choice of 1 to 3 meats and two sides and a drink. Their portions are generous and absolutely delicious! Ijust wanted to try the smoked turkey and he gave me a sample that was delicious. The cheesy taters are touted as?world-famous??quite the claim, but I believe they could be if the rest of the world found out about them! Really good side ofcoleslaw that was excellent. Great food! Since we were staying in the RV park we went over to Lonnie Q's BBQ for lunch and we were impressed. Long line of... locals ordering. Not long after we placed our order, he was running out of food, but he gave out extra beans to make up for it,and later gave out Blue Ribbon Ice Cream Strawberry Shortcakes, so excellent PR!
