Vegans: beware. I would absolutely give zero stars if I could. They say they're a vegan restaurant, but I ordered 2 supposedly... plant-based items for delivery and they ended up being ACTUAL CHICKEN and probably pork. Undeniably real chicken. With veins andeverything. Read more
WARNING - this place sent us REAL CHICKEN. It is listed as being a vegan restaurant but it is actually a ghost kitchen attached... to an omni place called Miss Things. These two places have very similar menus where meat and veg items are identical. They evenuse the same photos for vegan and non-vegan food. They admitted this happened and said our order got mixed up due to covidstaffing issue. Very traumatic and disturbing for a group of vegans to have this happen from a so-called all-vegan restaurant. Tried only their fried chicken bao ($15) via ubereats pickup. It was really good - the bao was soft and fluffy, the vegan fried... chicken tasted pretty good and the coating was spiced nicely, the toppings and sauces were delicious (pickled veggies and veganspicy mayo). I love bao so finding a good vegan bao has been a miracle! I hope you never stop selling this because every time Iget a bao craving I?ll be coming back here. Read more
The ordering system here can be an issue; the order page wouldn?t let me enter my payment info on my (respectably) older phone,... so they had to place the order via Miss Tings, which took some time as the server attended her other tables. I wasn?t notifiedwhen my order was at last ready, and it had apparently sat and gotten cold for a number of minutes until 30 min after placing myorder I went in to inquire on its status. It didn?t come with a fork, which can be an issue when you?ve ordered mac salad.Napkins also would?ve been a nice addition. The Nashville fried hot chickun sandwich was fine, but lacking any real kick. Thefaux meat was fine, but ordinary. The mac salad was the best part; the tang of the pickled carrots and green onion go great withthe creamy salad dressing. Lovebird is my local vegan go to and I?m always satisfied with my food. Every time I come in, the service is great. There was an... issue with the system for take out tonight and Andrew, the owner, made sure to resolve the issue and go above and beyond when Itold him it was not necessary. While I was waiting for my food, I had a lovely encounter with the wonderful hostess, Sophie. Shewas so friendly and made my night that much more pleasant.
