One of my new favourite ramen places! Came on a chilly evening and the food really warmed us up! We got: karaage, ajitama... musoshin ramen, and musoshin ramen red (spice level 1-10). For the red ramen, I asked if they could do level 11 spicy and it wasPAWFECT. My hooman thought it was too spicy though, so I would suggest asking for a lower heat level if you don?t want to bepanting like a dog. Pros: broth was doglicious, a mix of pork and veg broths, which made it creamy without being too thick andnot too salty. Portions were filling. The red ramen came with beef tenderloin, which was interesting and different from theusual charsiu topping. The karaage was well-seasoned, very crispy on the outside and super juicy on the inside. Good selectionof teas and beers. Cons: it?s a really adogable space but it?s small, so there may be a bit of a wait! Overall: 5 woofs out of5. Tail-wagging-good! Read more
2022 September 4? A small Japanese restaurant on the west side. Tables for about 14 or so with patio seating during the warmer... months. Open kitchen and welcoming staff. Shokupan $6 The bread was nice, fluffy and a bit chewy as expected. Would come backto try the ramen. Read more
Both indoor and outdoor seating! The service was very friendly and attentive, wonderfully done. The ramen was expensive for a... relatively small portion. We got a $17 bowl with only 2 pieces of meat. However it was well made, fresh and the noodles werebouncy. Not extremely salty. I would say just note the price, but it?s definitely worth coming to enjoy on a sunny day. Theyalso sell shokupan inside which looked great. Read more
This ramen joint just off Dundas Street West has both a front patio as well as indoor seating. Noodles are made in-house and... have great chewy texture - thinner and not as wavy as other noodles, but with a great taste. The Ajitama Musoshin Ramen had alight but flavourful broth, with enough broth for the kaedama second round of noodles. In fact, if you eat ramen at home, youcan buy their fresh ramen to take home! $2 for one serving, with 5 servings for $9.50. With vegan and gluten-free menu optionsto check out. Accidentally discovered this place while walking around the neighborhood. They have nice patio but a tight inside sitting area.... We tried the curry style ramen,and it was my first time trying it and I wasn?t disappointed but would not go for the same asecond time, good to try it once but nothing beats the original ramen. Ajitama ramen was nice but I have had better ramen atother places. An overall solid 3-3.5 stars, coz i liked the hospitality. Read more
