November 8, 2022 - PERMANENTLY CLOSED It is with a heavy heart that I announce the closing of Rain Sushi. The new owners have... decided to cease Rain Sushi operations and focus on the other side of the business, Ono Poke Bar. Rain Sushi was THE BEST sushiplace (under the original owners). So this is devastating to see it closed. ??????????????????????? May 29, 2022 - 2ndUpdate: To reiterate, Rain Sushi is under new ownership and is now sharing the store front with another store, Ono PokeBar. I?m not going to lie, I am disappointed that the new owners removed some items from the original menu (mainly the Tokyoroll and the desserts) but the new poke bowls are pretty good. I really like the Big Island with extra salmon. They also keptsome items from Rain Sushi, however, I still feel like the quality isn?t as good. Initially, I was very upset with the qualitywhen the new owners took over but they seems to have settled in and I?ve seen a slight improvement. The new owners seem niceand the service was not too bad; it?s about a 10min wait time. With all things considered, It?s still a pretty good place tograb a bite, especially if you want something healthy and delicious. ______________________________________ April 22, 2022UPDATE: Rain Sushi has gone under new ownership. Before I give a more in depth review, I?ll give the new owners time to getsettled in. But, from my first impressions, it is not at the same standard as the original Rain Sushi, unfortunately. ______________________________________ ORIGINAL REVIEW: 5/5 Amazing food. Even better service. It's a very cuteand cozy place that makes you feel welcomed the second you step in, and the staff are so friendly and polite. Definitely worth avisit if you're ever in the area because the reviews won't do Rain Sushi justice. You have to experience it for yourself?????????????? My recommendations: Tokyo Roll, AK47 Roll, Takoyaki, Mango Slush Bubble Tea, and anything really! UPDATE: Dueto the pandemi Read more

Used to LOVE rain, it was our go too. Now that ownership changed the sushi just isn?t good anymore. The same deals are gone, the... rice is poorly seasoned and hot, the vegetables are too thick, and it just falls apart! It?s too bad that a local place wentdown hill because of new owners. Read more

We used to LOVE Rain sushi and had been going for years until recently, the quality has been terrible. They seem to have new... ownership and it shows. Our last 2 orders were priced wrong, our sushi platter came with hot rice both times, hot rice and coldfish made for an entire inedible meal, the miso soup had no taste and the gyoza was soggy. Sadly will not be ordering again Read more

This used to be my favourite sushi place in the neighbourhood, by far, but the last two times I have gotten take out here it has... been really disappointing. I notice that they have a new menu with "Ono Poke" on it, so I don't know if there's new ownership,if they're expanding, or if they're hosting a ghost kitchen. Either way the dip in quality correlates with the arrival of thenew poke bowls and sushi burritos. The fish isn't as fresh, and overall there just doesn't seem to be the same level of carebeing put into all the little details (rice tastes different, vegetables in the rolls are big chunks, things are missing fromthe orders, etc.). My partner and I thought we'd give them a second chance after the first disappointing order, but this secondone was even more disappointing. I hope things change for the better, but at this point I won't be going back. Reallydisappointing because I loved their sushi! Read more

First time trying out the poke bowls and they were awesome, fresh, and healthy. Highly recommend Big island and torched salmon.
