This restaurant serving Chinese cuisine is certified 100% gluten-free and therefore also worry-free for my celiac-suffering... friend. I expected/anticipated a change in taste and texture to accommodate GF, but the difference was very minimal, and oftentimes a welcomed change. The deep fried items are lighter than their non-GF counterparts so I ate more. The spring rolls andfriend shrimp wonton were very crispy and flavourful. The gyoza, hargow, and siumai were also very good (we ordered these at8pm! All day dimsum dishes ftw!) but our absolute favourite was the lotus pockets of rice and chicken. We also ordered a friedrice dish and sweet n sour chicken (my celiac friend went to town on their menu and ordered everything she missed eating for thepast decade) Whether you are GF or not, this restaurant is worth a visit! PS: they're also dairy-free and nut-free Read more

I have being going to this restaurant for a number of years and it once was very good. Lately not so much with the latest order... being uneatable.. The Yam and broccoli tempura was like nothing I have seen before. see pic of Yam tempura.... I called therestaurant, thinking it was better to talk to them then post a bad review. I didn't want anything in return other than to makethem aware. The person who answered the phone just continued to talk over me saying that is their special batter and i shouldorder something else next time.. The more I tried to explain, the more she talked over me. I'm sorry but this is not greatcustomer service and this is not tempura. Read more

I?m giving just 3 stars to this establishment for our dining experience today. While the food was deliciously prepared the... ambiance was a complete disappointment and let down. We were seated in the middle of the restaurant by their feature wall. Whenthe food was served there was an unusually high amount of fruit flies that disturbed our dining. While we had hoped to tolerateit assuming the ventilation would take of it, it only got worse. When we asked the restaurant staff to do something about it,they offered us to move us to another table but expressed their concern that the flies would still follow the food - not exactlya suggestion to offer us then I guess! The back rest of the cushions on the long seating section by the wall could do withcleaning. It was very dirty with smudges and stains and we didn?t feel it was acceptable. We also learnt that as a (Japanese)restaurant, they are allowed to add service charges mandatorily as against it being per the discretion of the diners. (Learntsomething new!) Note for diners, they do have a policy that mentions it on their menu card and their website. We had Goyza,Spring Rolls, Basil Chicken with Rice and Black Pearl Pad Thai Shrimp+Chicken. Overall service staff was courteous andfriendly and the food was good too. Just the ambiance with the flies made our dining experience a little disappointing. Read more

The food tasted good (that?s why the 2 stars) but the restaurant was not in a good condition. It was infested with fruit flies,... sofas were stained and the glasses weren?t clean. Despite bringing this to their attention, they also charged a ?default?service charge of 15%. Don?t visit this restaurant to dine in, at-least not in summer. Read more
