The service was amazing and loved the atmosphere. The food was just okay for the price, but the service really boosted the... dining experience. Of the dishes we ordered, the typhoon shelter squid was the most memorable (fried and seasoned perfectly-literally melts in your mouth). Would definitely go back again just for the soy milk soft serve with butterscotch! Read more

Food was tasty with authentic flavors! But if you\'re chinese the value is not good here. Portions are small compared to... prices.\n\nOrder:\n1. Twice cooked pork - could have used more pork and slightly thicker cut.\n2. Mustard green - unique dishwith the use of lions mane mushroom.\n3. Silver needle noodles - yummy could use slightly more work flavor. Some ingredientswere cold so the dish was kinda only warm.\n\nOverall - I\'d return to try other dishes if I were with my white friends. Read more

Went to Sunnys twice in the past month, and both and definitely craving this all the time.\n\n-Husband and wife beef: Thin... slices of beef shank with some tripe and their house chili oil. It’s a cold dish and especially great to start the meal. Thesauce is so tasty with their steamed jasmine rice. (Also must mention that their rice is so perfectly steamed andfragrant).\n\n-Typhoon shelter squid: We got our dishes coursed, and this was brought out with the husband and wife beef. It’sperfectly fried - light and crispy, not too oily, well seasoned with garlic, shallots, and chilli. Nice to eat next to thehusband and wife beef.\n\n-Mustard green + Mock XO: Mustard green with their housemade mock XO made of lion’s mane mushroom.Really delicious on rice.\n\n!! **Get both desserts** !!\nThe HK french toast with sesame jam and oolong condensed milk is aremake of the HK classic french toast. Crunchy bread with soft and fragrant interior. Eat this next to bites of cold soy milksoft serve. The soy milk soft serve itself is not too sweet so it’s really refreshing next to the bites of warm french toast. It has a soy sauce caramel that has a great balance of saltiness and sweetness, and some crunch from the cinder toffee. Greatway to end the meal.\n\nThey change up some items on the menu here and there, so it’s always nice coming back for favouritesand getting some surprises of new dishes. Their menu has a mix of dishes from different regions of China, so it’s always funto explore. Read more

Good service, and great vibes, but the food is just okay, especially for the price. Expected better food, given how much hype... this place has. You can get the same kind of dishes (like the beans, salt & pepper squid, beef shank) at Congee Queen or AsianLegend that are much better in taste and value. Cumin cabbage skewers are the one notable dish; it is unique and tasty. Read more

A terrific spot you’ll find off the street in Kensington; follow the sign and head down the hallway.\n\nWe booked ahead and... sat at the bar, which was a fun experience with matching service and conversation.\n\nThe food, with all its salty, spicy, oilygoodness, goes well with drinking; the noodles, lamb and beans were all tasty. 5 to 7 dishes are the norm for two people. TheFrench toast topped it off; lots of sweet, savoury and crunch going on there.\n\nSlightly expensive, but not unexpected.Excellent date night spot. Read more
