I had steak and eggs with home Fries and rye toast. Everything was cooked to order. The prices were fair, and the food was good.... The customer service from the gentlemen waiter was excellent. I had to step out and leave my wife there because a deliveryservice arrived at my house early to deliver a new appliance. When I came back 15-20 minutes later - Rick's Nutmeg Grilledecided on their own to cook me fresh new eggs. That shows they really care about their customers. I'll definitely be back hereagain. One of my favorite places for breakfast food in Torrington. Hands down. The eggs Benedict and French are honestly amazing.
Very nice little, hole in the wall, local breakfast/lunch place. I have been here a few times with my wife and breakfast has... always been very good. Decent number of menu options at good prices. My friend enjoyed Eggs Benedict while I got a generously sized grilled chicken... grinder with lettuce, tomato and cheese. Chicken was juicy and nicely seasoned. I opted for no mayo, and asked for a littleolive oil instead. It was delicious. It's a small place with only one server so things took a little extra time, but that'sokay. Definitely a place I would try again. Read more

The breakfast classics were amazing, the waffles are super light and fluffy but still maintained a crunch on the outside. Eggs,... bacon, potato hash and sausage were wonderful as well. The sausage tastes almost fresh, or at least locally produced. The onlyreason I didn't give 5 stars was because of the Salmon Eggs Benedict. I am not sure what possessed me to get this wildcard menuitem, but it's better to just stick with the diner classics at Rick's! Read more
