No good road trip is complete without a solid food stop and this one did not disappoint! My friend has been preaching that... Baltimore cheese steaks are better than Philly ones. So he sent me to this spot seeing as I was going to be in the area and Ihad to give it a shot....for science. This is by far the best chopped steak I've ever had. The roll was baked slightly, littlemayo, lettuce, meat mixture (peppers, onions and mushrooms), cheese and homemade hot sauce. My son and I stopped by for early dinner after a tough week of high school orientation. The owner was warm, welcoming and... amazing. He laughed and made my son laugh after a stressful day. The food...well my son says this will be a regular spot for usfrom now on. Subs packed with meat, and that hot sauce is chef's kiss. Fries and o rings were the perfect compliment. The Real Thing was a real surprise! The chicken cheesesteak with lettuce, mayo, light hots, and American cheese was a tasty... delight. The chicken was fully cooked and juicy. Fries are fries, but these fries were just as good as boardwalk fries! Theowner/cook seasoned my fries like he knew what to do, lol; salt, pepper, ketchup all over. The Real Thing is a quaint spot onYork Road, between E Pennsylvania Ave and E Chesapeake Ave. The owner is friendly; I got a free Arnold Palmer for being a goodguy.
