This is off the beaten path hole in the wall but the food is great. I really enjoyed the tomato pie. It?s really makes you feel... like you?re eating at home. I was disappointed in the service especially since there was only 6 people in the restaurant. Read more
If I was just rating the food, this place would get five stars. I also would give the service five stars. I?ve loved the food... and service everytime I have come in. But last week while waiting for my food, a lady at the next table told me to not leave atip. I told her I would never do such a thing. She then told me that the waitstaff are not allowed to keep their tips. Even thetip jar is not for staff. I said you mean they all put into one pot and have to share it? She replied ?No, the owner takes andkeeps every penny of it!? I was floored. I?ve never in my life heard anything like this. I think it?s terrible and quitemisleading. As an owner you set your prices and that?s where you make your money. Wait staff make most of their money on tips.We all have tipped better or worse based on our service. These people who I don?t even know, I?m sure work just as hard as I didwhen I worked. I think people need to demand that the staff get their tips. I?m going to call the BBB on them to see if this islegal. In the mean time please hand your warrior or waitress sny tip directly and tell them it?s a gift for them. I think thismay be the only way they can keep it. If you know this boss you need to tell him it?s a shame to treat people this way. I cannotgive 5stars to someone who misleads the public. Put up a huge sign that says all tips are for owner and not employees if that?syour intention. I have to drop my review by a few stars, unfortunately. This morning we arrived for breakfast and we were pretty let down by... what we received. My wife and daughter ordered the southern benedict and it came out ice cold. The gravy was cold and gross andmy wife says that she knew it wasn?t going to be good when the plate wasn?t even warm even though there was a good bit of foodon it. After telling one of the wait staff about the problem with the food, I brought the plates up to her because she wasswamped from being short staffed. She brought back the same plates a few minutes later after they had very apparently beenzapped in the microwave for MAYBE a minute. She told my wife that the plates were really hot and they were barely even warm tothe touch. The food wasn?t even warm either except for the center underneath the biscuit. My daughter?s over medium eggs werereally over cooked at that point and my wife?s scrambled eggs were crunchy. They even microwaved the plates with the orangeslices still on it! Ultimately, my wife ended up picking at her food and left the majority of it on the plate while my teenagedaughter ate about half of hers. My French toast and sausage was just barely warm when it came out and got cold really quickly.I ate MAYBE a full piece of it. The only person that enjoyed their food was my toddler. He ate half of a large cinnamon roll, asmall bowl of blueberries that wasn?t even filled up all the way and less than one piece of bacon, which is weird for himbecause he LOVES bacon, so I?m wondering if it just didn?t taste good. It should also be mentioned that the order of bacon wepaid for and received wasn?t a full order. There were two half pieces of thin bacon and one whole piece on the plate. I noticedthis and didn?t say anything because after all of the issues that we were having with the food, it just wasn?t worth it. I?mnot sure if we are going back any time soon or even at all.
