This delightful venue does everything and more you might want from a friendly neighborhood Italian-American sit-down and takeout... restaurant. It's the original from which others can be measured. Their salmon is juicy and hot, and their tomato pasta is reallytasty. It's a great casual spot for lunches and dinners, and even after school snacks (like french fries). Fresh vegetables fromthe area fill the menu, and Italian pastas and pizzas also predominate. The atmosphere is friendly and service is quick. Try it.You'll like the way you can have private friend and family conversations in easy-seating booths and tables and chairs here, andorder a repast that is always reliably delicious. Read more

We got to the pizzeria around 8:00 today and I got to the counter with my friends, the cashier asked us what we wanted. I went... first and asked for a simple 4 slices and was met with a weird look and the cashier saying "we only have these left". Shepointed out probably a pie and the half with the sloppiest toppings. The worst of all, the chef came out and crossed his armsand angrily said " I ain't doing cheese pizzas this late." Disappointed, we walked out and one of the employees told us to comebefore 3. Funniest part was that they closed at 9. You are better off getting that "we have that pizza at home" from yourparents than this disgraceful Italian joint. Don't be mistaken - this isn't the "Candela's" that was located down the road from Saint Ann's that got shutdown by the IRS.... Unlike the other location (5/5 pizza), the pizza was fine, but it was incredibly bland compared to the pizza that we once had.I'm not entirely sure of the geopolitics of the Candela name, but buyers beware. Watery sauce, 1-dimensional cheese, and a crustthat has no crunch or character. If other reviews are anything to say, not paying "trainees" is wage theft and maybe thisbusiness should get a visit from the Labor Board. Read more
