Just to be clear, we weren't staying here but there's a nice gondola ride up there from where we were staying. The signature... dish is Brisket Nachos. My friend loved them. I thought they were ok. I got the fig salad, very underwhelming, plated weird. The manager kindly comped it. And gave us a dessert (pinecone) it was light, tart and delicious. Went a 2nd time. A great disappointment. Despite being entirely empty except for one other person, and a couple folks at the bar, my burger... took 27 minutes to come. I complained to the manager (who took a while to come) about this, and also the fact that the websitewas wrong. The backyard BBQ spot, which I would have preferred because it's outside and safer for COVID, was in fact opendespite the website saying it's closed for the season, but it closed earlier in the afternoon before I came by. I would havecome earlier if I had known. The manager offered nothing except an apology. When pressed, she gave me a paltry 20% off --local's discount, said the receipt. Coffee (comped by the waitress) took an exceptionally long time to come. I ultimatelydecided to take it to go. Huge lounge/lodge like feel with super tall ceilings. There was live music and plenty of space between tables which made it very... relaxing. The food and wine options were contemporary American, with the beef tartar and brisket nachos as two of thehighlights. Really enjoyed the big tables for our party of 8. Read more
Got dinner and drinks. Mixology is off the charts - compliments to the bartender. Drinks are subtle, strong, perfectly... balanced. I'm blown away.
