Haven't been to an Big Stop in 10 years and I remember the one in Aulds Cove being quite good, but was a quite disappointed this... time by the small serving of food. But at least the service/server was nice. The pan fried haddock with mashed potatoes andpreviously frozen carrots (previously frozen carrots, why??) was just ok, nothing special, I could have made it 10 times better.It was NOT a trucker's sized meal, unless the trucker was a 10 year old child. It will be 10+ more before I visit another BigStop. Read more
Tucked away little gem for the traveler. Has an attached restaurant to eat at, clean bathrooms, trucker's lounge and showers... (for truckers of course). Also have a good selection of travel supplies from CB radios and accessories, inverters, basic safetyequipment, log books, and more. Where its tucked off the road a bit, its less busy then some of the other places around. Read more

We were on our way through to New Brunswick from the Annapolis Valley and we decided to stop here for lunch. We have a big stop... locally and it's always a good place to stop and eat. We stopped here because we are familiar with the menu options and we arefamiliar with their entire setup because it's relatively consistent across all of their establishments. My children had thechicken strips with fries. My wife had wings and I had a Caesar wrap. We ate a couple of weeks ago at a or at least what wassupposed to be an upscale restaurant and the chicken salad Caesar wrap was absolutely dreadful. The one that I got from herehowever at the big stop was very delicious. The kids enjoyed their food and my wife complimented about how good the wingswere. It was affordable and comfortable.
