Checked this place out and was pleasantly surprised. Good selection of beers. We sampled a flight to decide which we liked... best. The wings were smoked, juicy, tender, and meaty. Very good wings! I also ordered the tri-tip which tasted smokey, andlikewise tender and juicy not dry at all. Live music on Friday made for a fun evening. Read more
Initially I was excited about eating here. Only to be disappointed overall. I ordered takeout for two. Two burgers and... chips/salsa. I had ordered some extras and was charged for them, but didn?t receive them (bacon, pickles, etc). The chips wereextremely stale and my partner?s burger came with a bun that tastes as if it was several days old. Since it was takeout, Ididn?t discover this until I was already home. This was definitely a disappointing experience. Maybe I caught them on an offday, however, even though they are close to home, I won?t be back. One positive about it, the bartender was great. The service and all of the staff were wonderful, extremely friendly. The drinks were delicious! Beyond that though, I do not... recommend the food. I had a burger that tasted raw, even though it looked cooked. The bun was disintegrateing underneath it andit was difficult to eat. We also ordered fish and chips, the fish was overcooked and so dry to the point it hardly had flavor.The fries were mediocre, but the best part of the meal. We may have gone on an off day, but will not likely be returning. Wewere also shocked to see that our bill was still $70 during happy hour. We had a nice lunch, that could have a couple of tweaks to be a great lunch. I had the fish and chips - the breading was a... bit sparse, so they ended up being difficult to eat - no structure, flaked apart with the fork, couldn't really pick up toeat easily. Ended up sort of scooping a finger-full. Tasty, just needed... Something. She had the blt - very good, chipswere homemade-style and very good as well. The only reason they got a ' 2 star ' was because my wife's drink very excellent. It was an expresso martini for the record. ... They were out of two stout/porters that I wanted and I had to settle for an Oktoberfest brew that was just OK. Except for theprice! $7.25 for a draft beer is outrageous! Our sandwiches were tasty but were cold. So was the appetizer. Restaurant wasnot crowded when we arrived so there was no reason to serve cold food. Waitress wasn't attentive which is why we assume thefood was cold. Read more
