My husband had the fresh halibut and I had the rack of lamb! We started with the mushroom soup which was out of this world! When... the plates arrived, what an amazing presentation. The rack of lamb was cooked to perfection (medium rare),the plate was filledwith roasted garlic,mashed potatoes and a wonderful assortment of root vegetables with a delicious hearty meat sauce ???? Myhusband said it was the best fish dinner he's had in a long time! The staff made you feel instantly at home and their expertiseon the menu choices was impressive. Their timing and attention was seemless. The atmosphere was properly busy with a bar andseating inside and out. We also noticed some of the staff acknowledging regular patrons.. A good sign!!! Upon entering we were presented a special menu and were encouraged to take a picture of it for future reference. We had drinks,... garlic fries and the lobster cioppino. The food and service was amazing. The restaurant itself was also quite big with plenty ofoutdoor seating. Read more
We started with calamari for an app. It was delicious but the portion was on the smaller side. For main course, we had the surf... and turf and rack of lamb. To say it was delicious is an understatement. It was flavorful and perfectly cooked and generousservings. We talked about how good it was for two days afterwards. We got a slice of cheesecake to go because we were so fullfrom dinner but wanted a treat for later since we were celebrating our anniversary. The cheesecake was surprisinglydisappointing. It was a very small slice (especially considering the price) and it tasted store bought. Given how amazing dinnerwas, we were surprised to find dessert so lacking. The service was wonderful though. Everyone was very nice and checked in on usregularly. Our waitress, I believe her name was Bri, was very attentive and helped us make the perfect selection from thespecials. We sat on the patio as the sun was going down. While the view isn't the best in the area, it is a nice plaza and theweather was pleasant. This is a unique situation. The food was good and the service was outstanding, but the whole experience just felt kind of dumpy.... The place is very dated and not specifically clean. The floor has probably not been attended to since it was first laid down,and the cobwebs in the corners of the ceiling bothered. The decor looks like it is a hodgepodge of things from the local fleamarket, and not in the modern trendy way. The huge volume of dead bugs laying in the basins of the overhead lights grossed meout. On the other hand, the service was top-notch. The prices were excessive though, given the environment of the restaurantitself. Hopefully they can get it together, because there’s a lot of potential. This was my first time having a French cuisine and it’s nothing but perfect. Make sure to request outdoor seating if the... weather permits. It could be a perfect outdoor dinner experience. The food is a bit pricey, but worth it. The servers are verynice and we were helped with two servers who addressed our food restrictions very well. If you are having leftovers they willperfectly pack it for you, so that the food doesn’t smell and the wine will remain inside the bottle until you get home. Thenoise level is mid, depending upon how many other guests are there. Read more
