I just want to take the time out of my day to share my experience. This is the first time I been there and won?t be the last.... When you walk in it gives that family vibes and than you smell the food and it takes you back to when big mama was cooking foryou. I live how it?s decorated and how good the staff treated me. One of the owner saw me looking at the pics and shared how itwas started and who was the restaurant name after. The food is amazing every thing is on point for the plate set up to the yams,fried chicken, cornbread lol so good make me want to double back. I have heard that the food was good, but my time is precious. I went there today 4/8/22 @12:30pm because the website said it... would open at 1:00pm I called and text the number asking about when they would open with no prevail. My Hubby\'s nephew told us about their food, so we gave them a try today (Sunday afternoon). After ordering takeout and eating... the food at Maxine\'s, I can see why he told us about ths place!???????? The Service was AWESOME, the food was ExtremelyDELICIOUS and the atmosphere was COZY.....we had an EXCELLENT experience.???? I had their \'Daily Special\' of Chicken &Cornbread Dressing with 2 Sides (I chose Cabbage and Mashed Potatoes w/Brown Gravy & Cornbread), Cranberry Sauce and choice ofRoll or Cornbread. EVERYTHING was Well-seasoned, Hot, Fresh and very TASTY!???? My Husband ordered the 3pc. Fried Fish, GreenBeans, Macaroni & Cheese and Cornbread (comes w/2 Sides and Roll or Cornbread). He said the fish was Flaky & Seasoned reallyGood....he Enjoyed ALLLL of his food, as well!????????
