The Chowhouse was DELICIOUS! Since I left Norman I haven?t been able to find a place with cheese fries that I loved but boy oh... boy did I find the place tonight! Not only were the cheese fries hot and tasty it was a really good size for the price and as anappetizer. We couldn?t even finish it all. The staff were absolutely amazing and super kind. We got our drinks and food quicklyand they were also super helpful. Definitely a 10/10 in my book and I will be coming back! Had the chicken fried steak. It's a meal. The mashed potatoes are real red potatoes. Had the Mac and cheese. Really creamy and... flavorful. Now on the potatoes they use white pepper wich leaves a little heat in your mouth. It isn't overwhelming though.Every thong is hand made. Nothing I ate was out of a box or package. Even the gravy is a made by hand gravy. I'm really glad tohave used Google to find something different. Will definitely ce back and try other things. Read more

I think this is a cool place with some great food. My salmon was absolutely perfect. But?you can?t serve something like these... carrots. On the menu it said ?glazed carrots.? These look like they came out of a van at a school cafeteria. Again, service andother food was great. This just surprised me. Read more
