They need WAY more training before opening these restaurants. Had to ask for drinks 30 minutes after ordering. Had to request... flatware as none were provided. No waters. Took over 30 minutes to split the check. Waitress was nice but clueless. One persondidn't get their food until the rest of our group was finished eating and just asked for a box. Long wait times but it is to be expected due to just opening. I went with my wife and was seated in about 15-20 minutes. Service... was great and food was delicious. Very busy, which is to be expected on a Sunday afternoon, however front of house service could have been better. Our wait time... was 20-25 min for a party of 2. Ended up being closer to 50 min before we were seated. Wait time was not updated via text or bythe host - had to inquire myself repeatedly. Host/other front staff were more interested in talking to each other or looking atscreens than interacting w/ customers. There were many people waiting for lengthy amounts of time--again, Sunday at a new place,to be expected. But not once did I hear apologies for the inconvenience, or even "would you like a pack of peanuts while youwait?" or anything even welcoming. Mostly the staff seemed to be standing in lines behind each other waiting to be told what todo - looked like mainly teenagers who for sure need more customer service training. I wanted to have something new and tasty. So I went on the 3rd day of OPENING week. And the food, and atmosphere was great. The... employees was very welcoming and kind. And the service was spot on. For being just open for 3 days, everyone worked togethervery well. I am so glad Turlock finally got a TEXAS ROADHOUSE restaurant.
