So much Yassss!!!! Unless someone told about this place existed you would never know its there. We had a going away ceremony... here and was not disappointed. Friendly staff, big portions, delicious food and fair pricing. They do call out your name whenthe food is ready so keep your earns open. Super fun... loved it. Read more
This unassuming hidden gem tucked away in an old strip center left me grinning from ear to ear. My experience was awesome. When... I walked through the doors there was a flood of Air Force personnel stacked in a fast paced line heading to order(1st sign thiswould be good). I ordered the Katsu chicken, Teri Beef, & spam masubi. I ordered my Lunch Togo and before I knew it a boomingvoice seemingly out of Moana called my name with a familiar star wars moniker attached (made my day). Been meaning to try this place for a while now and finally got to today. Just be sure to double check their hours/schedule... before going! I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the owners are really friendly. The food is delicious with my only complaintsis the parking which isn't horrible but annoying and the other is the rice. It was a tad undercooked but still edible. Chickenkatsu and the spicy pork is very delicious and I would recommend. Wanted to try their Spam musubi but, just to note, have adifferent menu for Saturdays compared to the other days. No biggie. I'll just have to come back during the week when they'reopen. They do this for delicious sounding breakfast items to be on the menu in lieu of weekday items. I might have go back on aSaturday again so that I can try them. Overall, check this place out! My mom suggested the restaurant after seeing it on television. After 9 trips to HI, this is like being on the island. The... staff and owners are from Oahu and I'm so glad we found a place to feel like we're on vacation just up the street from home. Gofor the short ribs! I got the pick 2 meats meal and it was so good! There?s lots of places to get great Texas barbecue but very few to get amazing... and authentic Hawaiian barbecue. Owner was very friendly and helpful!
