When it comes to Stl Style Pizza, Frank and Helens is a staple for the region. When inside, the resturant gives off relaxing,... homey vibes and has those awesome red cups you use to be able to find everywhere. You can definitely tell that this place hasbeen in business for a while. The food and drinks are great, especially the pizza. For this trip, we had a meatlovers andsupreme pizza, both of which were excellent. We also tried their salads and toasted ravioli, both of which we candefinitelyrecommend. Read more
Italian place in Ucity. Pretty good. Has three kinds of pizza crust, thin, thinner, and thicker. I've had the thin and... thinner, but not the thicker. The thin is kind of a compromise crust, and as such seems meh. Not truly thin for those who likeSt. Louis style, but still not very substantial. Old school tavern in U City. Pretty good pizza here with a thin, cracker-crisp crust. We had the broasted chicken, too, and... that?s a pretty solid rendition of that type with juicy meat and a dense crunchy crust. Don?t overlook the appetizers, though.There?s a reason that ?bar food? is a category of snacks and Frank & Helen?s offers top notch renditions of your St Louisfavorites. We ordered two 18-piece platters of toasted raviolis, mozzarella sticks that were way better than we expected and apitcher of beer and proceeded to just crushed them all during a 15-minute wait for our pizza. Picked up Frank and Helens on the way home, we ordered Margherita Small Pizza, 6 Toasted Ravioli with meat sauce and Frank's... Signature Salad. Honestly everything was alright, from the salad to the pizza to the ravioli. Nothing was super good but nothingwas super bad. Read more
