The service here sucks. The food was cold and there was a line worker visibly intoxicated and he was dropping food allover the... counter, couldn't tell which part of the chicken was white or dark meat and the list goes on. The food is too expensive to beserved cold or having incompetent worker's. The manager needs to take some lessons on customer service as well. I ordered the the pork chop dinner and added gravy. Wished it had been brown gravy but the gravy I had was good. The mac and... cheese was cheesy and tasty. The sweet potatoes (candied yams)were also on point. My oldest son had smothered chicken with mac &cheese and greens. My youngest had the jerk chicken with mac & cheese and greens. I also ordered a side of spicy chicken chunksand potato salad. The dinners were all delicious definitely enjoyed them. The spicy chicken chunks had a kick to them and mademe think of spicy Chinese chicken. The potato salad was ok but lack seasoning so I brought it home and added some salt andpepper and it was much better. Overall, I recommend Carolina Kitchen for their tasty southern cuisine never disappointing justa little pricey. So be prepared to spend a little something. Good food costs good money. Read more

Does this look appetizing, NO! Absolutely not. I had dinner before in the Hyattsville location and was throughly impressed. ... The chitterlings stank which meant not cleaned properly nonetheless they were cooked perfectly. Not at this location, cleanedto perfection with good flavor just under cooked and chewy as heck. The Mac and cheese dry and burnt. The person serving justkept scraping the burnt bottom after my protest. No ma?am. I still ended up with burnt Mac. The cabbage tasted ok just notthe buttery goodness and added carrots like Hyattsville. The potato salad was sweet like there?s at least a half a cup of sugaradded. I understood why it was going so fast most black people are addicted to sugar. My belly has been going crazy ever sinceI ate the small plate I made from the meal. The only thing I finished was the potato salad after I added dill pickle relish tooffset the sweetness. Plus for the day the young man on the meat who had to run the line and the register. Give him a raise. He was working extremely hard. Long dreads ponytail. (He is the only reason I gave the 2nd star) The Hispanic ladies acted asif they didn?t understand English. We know better.
