We have stopped in twice for an early dinner the last couple of months and both times had a great experience. It is very close... to our house, and we typically drive farther to another place that we have gone to for years but there prices have increased andportions decreased so we thought we would give Taco Giro a few more tries. They were quite busy, lots of take out/pick uporders and the dining room was busy. We were greeted warmly and they brought water and chips/salsa right away. They have alarge menu to choose from but we tend to order certain dishes and this last visit was no exception. My husband got the mixedFajitas which had tons of meat and super hearty and flavorful. My Chilaquiles were incredibly good as well. We actually bothhad Micheladas as well and I must say they do a GREAT Michelada (Modelo was our beer of choice.) They must do their own mix, asit was super robust and zesty. My husband got the one with shrimp and it was like a shrimp cocktail hybrid with BIG freshshrimp. We found the ladies who were serving to be very friendly and attentive. While it seemed a smidge short staffed withall the take out/dine in (who isn't these days) they did a great job delivering great customer service. I know this place getsmixed reviews, but for us it will be our new close to home Mexican restaurant. Read more

2nd visit this year 2022 and it was again awesome! The guacamole made fresh at our table was perfect and tasty. Our tacos, fish... and carne were great. The house margarita is great too, rim salt melts in your mouth. The place is small, but tidy. It didsmell like they just mopped the floors with bleach, but at least you know it's clean. We ordered the Guacamole as an appetizer, we were shocked when the server brought out Avacados in a stone bowl and proceded to... MAKE the Guacamole right at out table!! Wow!! Super clean place, very small or should I say cozy. The main entre we ordered wasOUTSTANDING. Drinks were ice cold, the service was EXCELLENT. Again, this place is small, and definitely not fancy. We really enjoy this restaurant and all the locations around Tucson. We haven't tried the location out in Vail yet but I am sure... it's great. The staff are always very friendly and approachable and always make sure the kids if we do have any of them with usare taken care of. Our kiddos are currently in elementary (ages 10/7/and 4) and are taking Spanish so it's good to see peoplewilling to be patient and help them learn Spanish. If you go in the AM at certain locations they may only have one server soservice stuffers a little but other than that I have no complaints. Read more
