Great waitress but the food? my husband ordered a pork belly platter for $17.50 and sides are ala cart for $1. Seriously he got... 3 slices of thick cut bacon. $100 bill and he left still hungry and very angry. I got a ruban sandwich for the same price and itdidn?t have the thousand island dressing on it. I don?t know if they forgot it or if that?s how they make a ruban there butoverall very dissatisfied. Two stars because I did really like our waitress. Read more
Our server was Alisha. She was a fantastic server. She has charisma and took great care of us. She recommended the cole slaw and... she was spot on with that recommendation. Very attentive and it was pretty busy on a Friday night. The food was amazing. Got theRudy Platter. Worth every penny but it doesn't come with a side which is a bummer... They are extremely expensive because everything is separate. A full slab of ribs is 35.00 and all you get is ribs sides are... extra. A regular order of nachos with brisket is 15.00 but there is like nothing on it. Brisket, cheese, onions so small youcould hardly find them, small amount of sour cream and jalapenos and that is it. Warm beer. Cool meat. Good service. I live in Valpo and passed this place for 3 years before stopping. Tonight was the night.... Very uncrowded. Friendly waitstaff. Ordered a favorite beer and it tasted flat. Was about 12? too warm to bring out the flavor.Ordered a sampler and my dinner was quickly served with a lot of pork, chicken, brisket and 4 good ribs Two sauces wereoffered: one regular and the other "hot". Stopped on Friday night with 3 of us after Holly days. Fast, friendly service. The sweet corn nuggets were a surprise and were... great. I usually do North Carolina style and put coleslaw on my sandwich, so I got that as a side. She said it was fantastic,and it was the best coleslaw I've had at a restaurant. Read more
