When going to a coffee shop, i look for homemade food at a reasonable price. That’s what you get here. Homemade roasted Turkey... and soups. Had the happy sandwich and vegetable beef soup with huge chunks of meat. Includes fries or potato salad. Great dealand very satisfying. I think they could modernize the interior though. I was in a room with about 10 other people for a computer Club meeting. It was nice being separated from the rest of the... restaurant. The service was great, especially for such a big group! I was freezing cold, but I didn't say anything. I ordered asteak dark pink, but what I got was a steak that was too well done. When I mentioned it to the server, she agreed and took itimmediately! The environment takes me back to watching something like CHEERS or Harley Davidson & The Marlboro Man. Very 1950s pilot hang... out. The food is beyond delicious. My family and I always treat Lulu's as if it's a family trip to Disneyland. A specialtrip The staff are always extended family, well at least they make you feel as if your family. Staff super helpful to me, someone with various allergies....kind and willing to check for ingredients to help me out. Btw... -their gluten free pancakes are very tasty - smell and texture so real I (nor my hubby who does eat gluten) didn't believe itwas GF until they checked and for name of brand/mix. Honestly, the food here is disgusting and waay overpriced for how gross and flavorless it is. This is a glorified Denny's, and... the service is horrible every time. I don't know if they don't have enough people working here, but I came in twice and had ahorrible experience both times. I had the Eggs Florentine, and the hollandaise sauce was not very good, and the spinach tastedchalky, like it came from a can. The Belgian Waffle was flavorless and cold when we got it--not good at all, and the OrangeJuice was spoiled. The French Onion soup tasted like it came out of a bag, and they use gross, dry, croutons that are definitelynot home made. They top the soup with so much cheese, and it was cold when it arrived. How disgusting. Then I asked for a Beyondburger, but they didn't have one, so instead of telling me, they just switched it out with a dry, disgusting black bean burgerpatty, and it tasted like cardboard. The mozzarella sticks were okay, but honestly I would never ever come here. Both times Icame in here, my server ignored me and the person I was with, and forgot multiple things on our order. Oh, and when I walked inthe restaurant, they took 15 mins to greet/seat me. The employees all saw me, and were right at the front, but they just ignoredme. Honestly, this place is a joke. Do not come here. Anyone who leaves this place a decent review must not know what good foodis. Read more

Went here last Sunday after a long walk at Balboa Park. We did not have to reserve and was seated as soon as we arrived. They... have an outdoor seating and I remember bringing my pet dog here one time. Service was great and the food was really good! Ihighly recommend trying out the Corned Beef Hash and Egg because it’s one of the tastiest meals we had during our visit. Theserving is huge and make sure to ask for a box to go if you cannot finish it in one sitting. They’re not lying when theycalled their Big Chocolate Cake big because the size of that slice was enough to fill me up until dinner. Highly recommend andwill definitely come back. Read more
