Really nice coffee house, old-fashioned in a charming and nostalgic way. Inside is cozy but the tables outside are nice and... peaceful too. I stopped for lunch and had a Veggie Love sandwich, a slice of carrot cake, and a tea latte with their Honey Bushrooibos. The sandwich was amazing! The hummus and roasted squash kind of melted together which was a great experience for thesenses and tastebuds, the bread was soft and fresh, and even though there was a lot of filling it wasn't messy. The carrot cakewas a little underwhelming. It was a little dry for my taste and I would guess that the white chocolate in the white chocolatefrosting was not of the highest quality (I don't usually get snobby about these things but I'm pretty sure the distinct taste ofcheap chocolate was there). Or maybe the whole cake was just not fresh. I'm being picky, because I still enjoyed the cake, butI'd go for one of their other desserts next time (the date square looked good). Rooibos latte (with almond milk) was less foamythan I like, but otherwise good. I like the tea they use (Bayswater). The portion for the sandwich and cake were about average. It was the perfect size meal for me. I can't remember the breakdown of the prices, but all this came out to about $22, whichseemed a little steep for a casual coffee shop lunch. They don't offer reusable tableware here which is very disappointing, because I know they used to, and besides avoiding a lot of waste, it would add a lot to the atmosphere to be able to have foodon plates and coffee in real ceramic mugs. They accepted my personal mug for my drink and they have Mugshare, but besides havingthe stack of Mugshare cups visible next to the stack of disposables (which probably mean nothing to someone who wasn't alreadyfamiliar with Mugshare), they seem to do nothing to advertise this. When I asked if they had house mugs available, the baristajust said no and didn't mention Mugshare, and I didn't see anyone using it. A 3-star review from Read more

Adorable little coffee shop, is usually my go to spot whenever I visit the area. Coffees are great and so is their hot apple... cider. Area is also very nice for walking and close to the community garden. Read more

Nice place out of busy area, feel like an oasis from the madness out there. Nothing really special in terms of decor. I just got... a slice of chocolate chip banana loaf today and it was one of the best of this kind that I've tried. Eventhough I won't be rushto be back, there are many many good options in the area, but I will still be back! Read more

Nice place, just really nothing special. Cons: closes way too early, they don?t take cash and the tables/chairs outside were all... very dirty. Oat iced latte was delicious though and we had great service from the lady even though it looked like she wasworking all alone. Read more

It's nice to have a cafe just off the main roads. It's an old heritage building turned into a cafe. No indoor seating available... at the moment, only outside benches and tables. Coffee is bit pricier than I'd expect from a small mom and pop store. Capuccinois closer to a latte, but then again... many cafes in Vancouver I've been to don't get the milk foamy much. Read more
