We went here for my birthday to try their boodle( kamayan feast) food. There were 3 of us and we were so satisfied with their... food. We reserved for 3 people but the amount of the food can feed 3 more people. The staffs were kind and accommodating and thefood taste like home. After we have a good experience with them, we keep on coming back to Kulinarya. Their laing, pork BBQ areour faves. They also have option for vegan and vegetarian. I recommend Kulinarya for those who want to try authentic Filipinocuisine. Read more

I discovered Kulinarya on Commercial Drive yesterday. I went with a non-Filipino friend who wanted to try Filipino food. I'm... usually wary of eating at Filipino restaurants because I am often left disappointed. This was not the case yesterday. The foodwas absolutely delicious! Their BBQ pork skewers are huge. When they placed the dish on our table, the smell reminded me of thesmell of BBQ at The Aristocrat Restaurant in the Philippines. It was my first time trying Pork Binagoongan (crispy pork cookedin shrimp paste). It was so good!! It had a lot of umami without being too salty. I ordered the vegan Laing (taro leaves cookedin coconut milk) and was truly impressed. It didn't need shrimp or shrimp paste to make it very flavourful. The Kare-Kare alsolooked so beautiful topped with chopped peanuts. The sauce was nice and rich with a lot of tender pieces of beef. It was just abit on the sweet side for me but it was perfect when the bagoong was added. I'd order it again. Oh their lumpia is so meaty andjuicy. Honestly, I could eat a whole serving by myself. All their dishes paired so well with the garlic rice. I love that theyhave a bar. They have creative drinks too. I was lucky enough to be the first to try their Earl Grey Martini. They infused theliquor with Earl Grey tea. Delicious! The mango mojito was so refreshing. The service was also attentive and friendly. I highlyrecommend this place. I can't wait to bring my family next time to try the rest of the menu. Read more

HONEST REVIEW ONLY ???????? It was a delicious experience. We had plans to visit here last year but never got around to it,... wanted to try and visit a few months ago but the restrictions were placed so we were definitely left hanging. Me and my motherhave not found any delicious filipino foods here in Vancouver besides a cooked meal at home. As a person (s) who grew up & livedin the Philippines a few times I can definitely say that this is what authenticity & fresh really tastes like. All dishesordered were packed with flavour. From sweetness, tangy, smooth that had impeccable layers that delivered through out our mouthsit was just sky rocketing. The dishes were definitely a home run. The space is super cute and cozy. Servers were lovely. Theywere on time. It was a bit busy when we arrived, we waited a solid 30 mins and by that time we were ferociously starving????. It was definitely luck that we visited this restaurant. Also the prices was very very reasonable. We ordered roughly 5dishes including the rice (s) and spent less than $90 & we were stuffed. This is now our go to filipino restaurant. Just watchout we are going to be your regular customers. Teehee!! Read more

I went here with a friend on a Friday evening because we miss eating Filipino foods. This place reminded me of my childhood... especially when I saw a picture of young kids on the wall and the old sewing machine. The food is just average (the rice isn'tfully cooked). We loved the grilled bangus and tortang talong. We also ordered kare-kare and pinakbet. Kudos to our server. She's graceful and her smile was outright genuine. The owner was friendly and nice. This makes the restaurant special. Read more
